Can't delete an email-no matter what I try!

I use Gmail for my primary email account on my BB Storm 2. I'm told that there is no way to "ungroup" a grouped thread that BB creates with conversations. BB tech support told me there is no way to unthread the conversation. Note: with one keystroke you can unthread a conversation on an iPhone. The problem is that I had four emails in one grouped conversation so I highlighted all of the emails, hit delete and now the header in my inbox for what was a thread of emails shows 0 items, but will not delete no matter what I try.

I know that I could completely back up the unit and wipe the CMIME etc. to get rid of that one email heading – but I sure would like another fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I leave emails in my inbox long enough, I cannot delete them either. I have to wait for them to drop off at the 2 week mark (that's what I set it to).
