Man, I don't see how you guys are having so many problems with the Storm 2. I just upgraded from the Storm 1 about a month ago (which I had for almost 2 years). The only problem I had with the S1 was it needed to be rebooted all the time which I installed Quick Pull to facilitate. I installed Quick Pull on my S2 and I've never had to reboot it. I still have it automatically reboot in the middle of the night to refresh it, but I doubt even that is necessary.
I'm guessing if you wiped your S2's clean, reloaded it with the most current OS and then loaded the current versions of the apps, you'd be set.
I love my Storm 2 and would not trade it for any cheap plastic-screened Droid even if they offered it to me for free. - 09-17-2010, 06:26 AM #53

I call BS on the OP. I had 5 storm 2s in a 10 month period with legit documented screen issues by a Verizon tech. I finally asked if I could just get a different device and they refused but were willing to send me another refurb. I finally just bought another device and sold the storm. If the op post is true, then I am pissed with Verizon.

You can say what you want about the Storm2, but it DOES NOT have a "crappy" camera...it may only be 3.2 MP, but it takes damn nice photos and that's been WELL documented. Hope you're happy with your new phone.
Maybe it was Henry's "approach" with Verizon's customer service people. You already went through 5 phones, so they were probably less likely to offer you an upgrade to a different phone. Just saying...Cory

You right? Why would anybody, lie, stretch the truth or post stuff they wouldn't say to someone in a conversation? I don't know, and I'm not saying anybody did, but it seems people do stretch the truth at times.

People are getting a little edgy in here. Geez they're just a bunch of phones. It's not like this forum is producing any better threads.

No need to shout...I'm not blind and I can see that you took a crappy picture; sorry, but mine takes great pictures. If most of yours are crappy you need to clean your lens or adjust the settings. That picture is fuzzy, not focused, or, more likely, the lens needs cleaned. Why don't you take a picture with your new phone in the exact same place and light so we can see how wonderful it is?

Both can take good pics and both can take ****ty pics. the Storm camera is very good for a smartphone camera. 3.2 MP vs 8 MP means NOTHING. so dont judge the camera by that number ever

crappy?? NO...the problem is with YOU. You failed to clean off the lens before using the camera. the lens is flush with the back of the phone and therefore picks up all sorts of crud in a short period of time. the blurryness and lack of contrast is YOUR fault--not the Storm's. This was a good example of "pilot error".Dave - Moto Bionic
