Brand new S2, not 24 hours old and I already messed it up! Please help.
I got a HUGE scratch on the bottom front plastic piece just below the phone and menu buttons. Not on the touchscreen, but on that plastic piece below it. I tried verizon, but they only do software/firmware repairs. They refuse to open the phone. When I had my iphone, I got a crack in the screen. I took it to my local apple store and in 15 minutes they swapped out the screen for a new one and I was on my way. What are my options? Can I get a replacement plastic piece, and how can install it? This sucks. its 18 hours old.

If it's only cosmetic... dude, just get over it. It's going to get marred up sooner or later. Might as well get it over with early on.
Plus... at least you did it yourself, and can't be mad at anyone else about it. LOL!

Case it up. No one will ever know. Either that or you call Verizon and lie and say it is not working properly and live with the fib lol.... Not something I'd want to do. Karma sucks and it will probably be a big lemon
I am just waiting for the first time I drop mine. UGH. Worst feeling ever.
Sorry about the scratch. I am a complete perfectionist. It would bug the crap out of me too.

Mustang, the reason the Apple store fixed your iPhone was because they are authorized to work on Apple products. If you had taken it to an AT&T store, they woudl have told you they couldn't fix it either. That would be like taking your Storm to a RIM Store, where they would be authorized to repair RIM products. I hope that makes sense.
It does really suck you scratched you phone, but that's why I took out insurance on mine. Try to go through a third party parts dealer and just buy the piece and fix it yourself, or make an insurance claim and eat the $89 deductible and risk getting a refurbished unit.Romans 1:16 - I'm not ashamed, are you?

Guess not like me then since I said NOT something I'd want to do and Karma sucks. Perhaps misunderstood my post. I'd just deal with it and put a case on it and bear the pain of the scratch. Perfectionist or not.
Sorry about your girl. Those sort of women give you character for the right one though.
