Default Just got the storm2

.. a couple days ago. Was in WalMart today looked at the display 9550, and I have to say that mine is perfect compared to that one. The screen on the display was not level with the body on the bottom (pushed in slightly), and the click was not smooth at all.

Compared to my S1 this thing is wonderful. I upgraded to 517 and have loaded half a dozen free themes that I like, will be adding another dozen or so. Memory stays above 100mb, no lags, delays, dropped calls etc. etc. etc. I have 3 16GB SD cards now, I'm in the process of ripping 10 movies to AVI and loading 'em up. I'll never have to swipe my credit card again to watch some stupid tv program on an airplane. Have the battery from my S1 charged as a backup. Ripping the dvd's to 320X240 stereo gives file sizes from 400-700mb, easily get 20 videos on one card. Might even rip some of my old porn dvd's so I can watch and shock some ol'd biddy sittin next to me.

Battery seems to last OK, except if I have bluetooth and wiFi both then only get about 8 hours on standby, 3 hours use. Double that if I disable those, with my normal usage.

Just as FYI, my normal VZ new after new was still 6 months away but got tired of the issues with the S1. Camera (still and video) stopped working and tried every suggestion out on CB for a fix, nada. I had dropped it not long before I noticed, didn't look like it really hurt it but something must've broke and VZ just gave me the brush because I didn't have the insurance. Got it now. I just paid the 179.95 ($100 discount) online purchase. Wish I could have waited but glad I didn't.

Phone will never be an iPhone killer, came out too late, Apple pretty much has it embedded now, best RIM can do is keep the BB users that would like the iPhone. With this much of an improvement from gen 1 to gen 2, they should be able to.

One thing I find totally amazing is that a phone with a Java based OS doesn't support flash video. RIM are you fricking kidding me? The Browser should have had that long before the storm. Users may be primarily business and hollywood types but give us a break and think about the boat you missed.

Default Heck yeah!!!

Went onto Craigslist yesterday looking for this Storm 2 and found a guy letting his go to return to his Bold... All the others posters were asking between $450 to as high as $520!! This guy was asking $390.00 and his was unlocked? Needless to say i was very skeptical about the condition so as we emailed back and forth, him answering my million and 1 questions I went to pick it up.

This guy has a fetish for phones as he admitted and I was about to capitalize on his desperate need to take this off his hands. I look at it, it has all the stickers still on it? He says he bought it last week Tuesday and hates it! I talk him down to $375.00, call Telus to make sure it's clean, they approve, I throw the money in the air and make out like a bandit laughing lmao jk I. even did the options>status>buyr thing...2:34 on this thing!!!!

I'm as happy as a pig in sh*t right now!!! Awesome upgrade from my Storm 1

Default Storm 2 Just what the Dr Ordered

I am what a "serial smartphone trader," and gives ny wife headaches how much I have switched phones over the years. Just in the past two years, I have owned 4 Moto Q's, 2 Iphones, 1 Android, 2 HTC Windows phones and now 3 blackberrys. This Storm has been the winner in my book!!!

Just two days ago; I bought the Storm 2 unlocked it for CIncinnati Bell and loved it. However, saw the Bold 9700 for sale yesterday on Craigslist. Bought it in the morning, sold the Storm 2 and less than 24 hours missed the Storm 2. So today, sold the Bold and bought another Storm 2.

Damn if this phone hasnt got everything I need. I listened to the "boys" Podcast this morning from last year about the Storm 2 just to make sure that I wasnt losing my mind thinking I would prefer the S2 over the Bold 9700. There wasnt a whole lot that they added that I didnt know and really couldnt hear that they were too excited about the Storm 2 back then, but nonetheless--I bought the S2 again and couldnt be happier.

My wife has the iPhone but I dont think I am going to be able to live without this BB...the first time I re-purchased a phone I had in less than 24 hours. REDICULOUS!

Talk about an addiction!

I've had my storm1 for amost 2 years now, thinking of getting the storm2 but with the storm one people always had trouble hearing me and said i sounded muffled all the time. Did they fix that problem in the storm 2?
