I upgraded to an LG Dare in May 2008. In October 2008 I was sent a postcard from VZW saying I was eligible for promotional pricing on the upcoming BB Storm when it comes out on Nov 2008. (Which I thought was awesome cuz I already used my upgrade in May) Does anyone (VZW Reps, Insiders) know if that will be the case this year??

If you check the database now, it shows as of 21:49:30 on WED. Sept. 30 that it is BLACKBERRY 9550 STORM 2

BB RSS system never had the right dates for release. That might be an in-stock date, but I doubt they would show a date for a release and have the phone scheduled for arrival on the same day. Worked for BB for a long time and RSS is never right....

here is the new update info posted by kevin on Blackberry Blogs. 2 new screens showing that Best buy changed up the Storm 2 and dummy phone to a different device name but still shows oct 25 as the in stock date. http://crackberry.com/best-buy-black...l-looking-good

RSS Instock dates just mean when you can expect to begin seeing them. Doesnt mean its going to be released that day... Not every store has same truck days and so on. If it is like any other BIG release of a new phone, like I am sure that Verizon will try to make it, it will have to sit locked up somewhere in the back of the store until VZW wants them to go out. Likely the beginning of November.
