BB Logo besides 3G dissapered

Hello all,

I am from Indonesia and I use Telkomsel carrier for my Storm 2. My storm is from Verizon.
When I got this phone is always rebooting itself about 1-2 times a day. But the connection with the data service is fine... the BB Logo besides the 3G never dissapered.
After I auto upgrade my Storm 2 to 5.0.0.1015 with platform version 4.2.0.442, my problem with rebooting itself is gone... my Storm 2 is normal again.
Buttt... these are my other problems start. Sometimes, suddenly, the phone auto switch to CDMA 1x... so I have to switch it manually... sometimes it back to GSM/UMTS by itself...
but the worst is... sometimes the BB Logo besides 3G is gone and I can't do data service...
I have called my carrier and she said to:
1. Turn off data service and change to 2G only.
2. access the options > advanced option > Host Routing Table and click menu then Register Now.
3. take off the battery while the phone is on, wait 15 second and put it back.
4. after the phone standby, turn on the the data service again and the EDGE words in capital.

is anyone ever facing problem like this? because the solution give by the carrier I belive is only temporary and I want use my 3G not EDGE. everytime I back to 3G... it's ok for a day, but dissapered again and do the same routine again...

can anyone give me the info to what happend to my storm 2. Is that a carrier problem with BB server/Line??.... or it's because the storm itself.. ??
