BB 9520 unlocked won't recognize SIM cards

Hello guys, i'm new here and i really need your help.

I got a BB 9520 unlocked by myself (in the SIM menu says Network inactive and everything else says disabled); so apparently is unlocked.
SIM: Disabled
Network: Inactive
Network Subset: Disabled
Service Provider: Disabled
Corporate: Disabled.

When entered the MEP2 code it accepted with no problems.

Now, i'm trying to use a SIM card from another company (the phone is originally from Vodafone Spain and now i use Movistar) but the phone does not accept this SIM card (which has been working perfectly in other phones).


PLEASE!!! ANY CLUE! SUGGESTIONS!

Yes. From other provider.

Is it possible to have a WRONG MEP2 code accepted by the device??? And have a "network inactive" message but still be locked!?

What other provider, by that I mean do any SIM cards from other providers other than the previously locked provider. IE, it is was locked to att, do SIM cards from any other carriers work in the device.

NO, if the "Network" is "Disabled" it's 100% unlocked (SIM - FREE) and should work with other GSM carriers.
Try to use that SIM card that you have the issues with on another cell phone (unlocked or branded to the SIM's carrier) and see if it's working fine.
