Battery dies with long boot up

First off, yes I have a 9330. BUT, I gave my 9550 to my girlfriend and it's another 9550 issue.

Ok now, I am a little stumped. I'm pretty good at getting around with these things. I'm experienced with wiping/loading OS's and even hybrids. I never had this issue when I was using this device prior to my upgrade to the 9930. Ever since I removed the IT policy via command prompt I have this:

1. Very sluggish at times (yes the 9550 is known for this) not a big deal. Battery pull solves but then.... on to 2.

2. Battery meter shows about half charge left prior to battery pull and boot up after battery pull takes about 10+ minutes!

3. Once device is booted up, battery is nearly dead.

I don't have the device right now so I can't try anything out right now, but tonight I'm going to play with it.

She installed a bunch of games for her son to play on it so I'm first going to uninstall everything she installed to see if it is an app issue. If that doesn't help, then it will be time to reload the OS. And thirdly, if that doesn't correct it then I'm going to suspect that the battery is the culprit.

Yes I may have answered my own issue, because these are the steps I always take when I have problems. I am more looking for any insight and to see if anyone has had a similar issue.

Issue resolved.

Long boot up had to have been from an app or apps I uninstalled. The battery seems a bit better, but still going to replace it. Anyone have a spare laying around? The battery doesn't last as long as it use to before I upgraded to my 9930.

When in doubt, always check your apps.
