ATT MMS and Browser for 9550 HELP

Can anyone help me, I got my blackberry storm 2 today and tried the same method of uploading the att service books to my phone and that would normally give me the browsers and att navigator . But for some weird reason it on the phone then disappears from my menu. Can anyone tell me if the method changed.

have you tried to contact att about sending you service books. I understand that they do not have the 9550 but with tmobile i just sent the 8900 service books to my phone and it worked.I would call them and see if the 8900 or 9000 service books can be sent and will work. I hope this helps.

Any Ideas anyone. I have tried other methods and no matter what the browser and media net icons disappear from the menu.

I tried both methods, when device restarts the browser appear and then dissappears a few seconds later.

Same prob here. Once I get the browser icon it disappears if I reboot.

According to many it does work, but it is not working for me also......
The browser appears for a short time and seems to have worked, but then the browser icon disappears within 5-10 seconds....

try a wipe to 507 error....load your OS.....turn on radio....remove browser, load service books from file, then load browser back... there is no reason at all why that will not work...

Reloaded OS several times, wiped device then reloaded OS.
Tried both methods shown on post above.
The end result is always the same, the browser appears and when the radio is turned on to receive the service book, all ATT icons dissapear.
Im going back to my X1A if I don't solve this issue soon.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi all, frankly, and I mean no disrespect, but I am so tired of everyone on this forum saying - "try the posted method it works....." "Follow the link it worked for me", well it does not work, and if you own a 9550 and really tried it you would know it does not work PERIOD - here is what you need to do - go to options / advanced options / service books - show your keyboard - type 4?2? - you will get a message "Legasy SB Enabled" - then connect to desktop manager - go to restore - advanced - now open and load the att service books provided in the artical that did not work - move them over to to your phone and then send service books to get your mail back - FIXED! Now go to browser options, and you will see you can select Internet browser, Hot Spot browser, Blackberry browser ...... Your best choice is Internet Browser. Sometimes on reboot you have to do this again, but with all the memory in the 9550 you shuold not have to reboot very often, seems sometimes on reboot for some reason the service books are overwritten (I have not figured that out yet, but net software release this should go away - remember it is a world phone).

not sure if this info will help anyone, I got my internet going.

The bb browser would not stay on my phone, and when it was on there I only had wifi. I went to opera.com and downloaded (to my pc then to my bb) thier browser for 9530. Installed it and it works great. No wifi needed.

I actually used this method to unlocked both my Storm 9530 and 9550. The 9530 worked fine, but the 9550 only worked after service book is installed. However, once it is rebooted, 9550 will lose all of AT&T icons including browser.
I tried both Crackberry and Berryology methods, but I got no luck for my 9550. I am staying with my 9530 and selling my 9550. It seems like it is something to do with 9550 or it can be me. If anyone solved this problem, I'd like some guidance. Thanks in advance

i used this method on my 9550. all my att icons popped up. i have not pulled the battery, but for some reason i keep going in and out with lowercase and uppercase edge

I can get the service books on there.....but sometimes even without a reboot or battery pull they dissappear for whatever reason

I know I'm bringing back an old thread but this thread needs to be added to the Storm 2 unlocking thread. It took me 48 hours to fix my storm and after this thread only 2 minutes.
