Yeah this is bad news. The promo stuff launches, not the actual phone. Blackberry OS is now saying Nov. 7. Which would make sense. Two weeks for promotions and ads, then offer for retail sale... I am so bummed out.

Looks like confirmation of in-store availability that day, if you ask me!

Don't think they'd have the stores put all that stuff up at close of business on the 20th unless the phone was available to go along with it the next morning.

i beg to differ. I think vzw is trying to get as many sales as they can for s1 before launch of s2. Me, for example, had no idea the s1 was coming out last year. on 11.16 i bought a curve. 5 days later bought a s1 over the phone.
When I bought the curve on 11/16 there was no adv for s1

Has only seen any of this promotion material and exactly what's on it? Is it just saying the spec of the S2 ? or saying "order now"?. i don't think verizon would put money into all these materials for advertising the phone and then not have it in stores.

That is a good point. I wouldnt be very happy to walk in and want a blackberry Storm, see a Storm2 banner and ask to get one then get told to order it online or "we'll ship it to you".

what rock did you live under?

there were ads for that phone for a good solid month! a lot of them were those 'teaser' ads but I totally remember it. I had a 'new' phone for about 8-9 months at the time so I wasn't too interested. I remember seeing huge billboards for it in early november which stayed up until like jan-feb.
