I had the same issue. I tried a few times and gave up on it. Hence the reason I wanted the other version but I'm not gonna pay for the other version.

If you login to your account in the store where you bought the theme, you will be able to see which apps you downloaded and there should be a option to swap to another version of bDroidX for free.
