I was told I couldn't carry over my contacts from my LG phone to the Storm, is this true?

I have Backup Assistant if that helps, is there anything I can do?

You can transfer all contacts with Desktop Manager.

Ok I'm sorry I'm not educated in this stuff can you please explain? The employees at Verizon always switch over my contacts when I get a new phone.

to my knowledge they will be able to switch your contacts... This may not be a fact as It has been a while sense I asked but others have mentioned that they still do charge for contact switch and sometimes do it free based on the upgrade..
