Question When is the next OS update being released?

Any one with any inside info as to when this will be? As of right now the Storm is unusable whether you're running .65 or .75.

This doesn't even warrant a response...

I guess I need to stop surfing the web, streaming my Sirius, checking my e-mails, SMS'ing my friends, maintaining my busy calendar, and keeping my checkbook register on my unusable phone.

Go buy yourself a Palm 700p and we'll talk about unusable phones.

1 piece of constructive information out of 8 replies. Verizon told me an update would be out at the end of this week when I talked to them the other day, so I asked my question.

Guess I should have been more precise with my unusable statement. In comparison to my other 2 blackberries the Storm slows me down. Then theres the added lag with input most of the time. Sure the software functions as advertised, but at a snails pace in compared to the iPhone, G1, or Bold.

If Verizon told you it would be out, why are you asking people here...they already told you...

I think the Storm rocks...There are certainly flaws here and there, but overall, the functionality is fantastic...MUCH MUCH better than the Q when that came out!!

Merely seeking specifics my friend. Curious if anyone knew what version to expect and availability date. Maybe someone out there running it who can shed light to some of the fixes. The search of the forums came up empty when I last looked. I don't spend my time surfing the forums so maybe y'all have more search-fu than I. "storm update" in thread titles didn't yield anything that mentioned Dec 12th.

The Q had plenty of flaws. Those flaws that brought me into the BB world, but the sluggishness of the Storm's UI kills me. Maybe you all out there accept it, don't notice it, or maybe even don't have the problem with the screen ignoring key presses, ignoring portrait/landscape changes, or have a screen that rattles around inside the mount. I find myself waiting for the storm to catch up too often.

I really wish it had a 2-step unlock feature like the iPhone/Touch though. Unless there is a trick to have a 2 step unlock(that doesn't involve a password) I haven't seen yet.

Did you try reading the HUGE sticky at the top of the forum page?!

No offense, but you're merely duplicating a question on a new thread that has been asked a hundred times.
