No, learn to close your applications out instead of just exiting them. You need to close them via the BlackBerry button.
What a horrible reply! Just because it's there sometimes, doesn't mean it should be ... Without apps being open, your Storm should be around 40-50mb after a battery pull. But, as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's not acting slow, I don't worry about the memory.
Search the forums with just the term "memory" ... and you will find a TON of information on this topic. Good luck!

I was wondering this as well. When my Storm starts up from a battery pull I only have about 21. I also went as far down as 1 yesterday. I have read that some people have 50 or so on a regular basis, how the h#ll is this possible? Do they not have any apps? I was also wondering if I can delete the Verizon crap on there, like the Navigator or the Visual VM.

Ummm, yeah. If you don't use VZNav or VVM, just uninstall them from Options/Advanced/Applications. That right there will free up quite a bit of memory.

Alright, yeah, I just wasn't sure if it would mess anything up that Verizon set up. I know that after all they are just apps, just didn't know if they were connected with anything important, but I never use them so they are gone
I really dont want to uninstall the applications. Today mine jumped from 15 to 22 without a battery pull or deleting. I only have the apps that have to be run on. Does minesound normal, or should i return it? please help further.
i have downloaded app world, but i dled it the same day that i got the phone. I went fro m 30 to 13. My friend has app world and is at 34. Should we delete it?
I was getting 31mbs on a fresh boot and would get down to under 20mb really easy but I deleted a bunch of apps and stuff I didn't use and now I boot to 45mb and never get below 35mb. Running .75
