I think it means your have one message. Could be wrong.

I know its not for any of the standard messages..

I have looked at everything on my storm and nothing indicates that there is a message anywhere. Nor does it say anything about updates to programs anywhere..

I found it..

It was a message from app world indicating I had a program that needed to be updated.

This icon is from the new app world.
It mean that there is an updated version of one of yor installed app.
Just open app world

Ok so I got the icon showing up on my phone soo I went too the app world and updated my app (GT Blackjack) and did the reboot and now the icon wont go away ???

You hafta go into the "Messages" folder on the phone and click on the update message there. Then it will go away. PITA to figure that out, kind of a pain to bother with it as well.

Crosshair is for Location on (GPS).

Icon means that the GPS is enabled, not necessarily that the phone has a fix on the GPS satellites.
