i downloaded the .83 from here using this to install it

which says run the .83, (with BB not plugged in) delete the vendor.xml file, plug in the bb and open DM and do app loader?

so i do all that and bam. .75

yea run the .83 on your computer then delete vendor file. plug in the BB and open desktop manager, then app loader

it will prompt you to update, then show you selections of OS options. .83 should be on the bottom of the list

check that one, and hit next

be prepared to wait a while, updating takes forever

so i wiped it with JL cmder and then i tried to do update software, and i select .83 and it goes to the next screen, and then says no updates are available for your device..

totally lost at this point

you must disconnect internet from your computer. the DM looks for updates online.

well that did it, at first i was worried when i clicked the apploader> update software cuz it didnt have anythign for me to select from so i thought it would just load .75 anyway, but it loaded .83
