When i went to bad last night my blackberry storm was working fine, so i shut it off to get some sleep. when i woke up my storm wont turn on, so i took the battery out and saw there was a pink line on the battery and a negative sign on the phone. Also, when i plug it into the charger and try to turn it on, a picture of a battery with a lightening bolt through it shows up. What the **** is wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with either your battery or your phone. All storm indicators are like that.

Your battery has dropped below 5% and the device has shut itself down. Put it on the charger and give it 15-20 minutes for it to charge up to an acceptable level and the phone will turn back on.

Understood. However, when you see that battery/bolt icon, that indicates the phone is off and the battery is charging. Nothing else.

I have done the very same thing just recently. Trust me. Put it on to charge and give it 15-20 minutes of undisturbed charging, and the phone will turn on for you.

Make sure you don't have some type of program running that could be draining your battery (weatherbug for instance, if you have too low an interval set for it to check the weather) these types of apps can kill a full battery real quick.

One more thing, when ur storm is off, its not really off, its sorta hibernating so it is still using power and some apps/settings are still running in the background.
Only pulling the battery or quickpull completly powers off your storm

haha, turned it off for the night? why not just put it on the charger? that way your battery is always fully charged. The BB's have a no memory battery, this means you should be able to charge it whenever you like for as little time as you like...makes sure you always have a full battery.
