I never went to college (barely made it out of High School), I have a job that I not only love but am pretty much self taught, and I will make over 100k this year. I busted my *** to get where I am, and I think college is important, but I guess what I'm trying to say is it's possible to have both happyness and a decent income. Don't quit until you do!!!

But like you said, you busted your ***....and that's this year, not only 1 year after graduating.
There are very few jobs that will net you 6 figures or even close to 6 figures right out of college or high school....and with the current economy people are lucky to have jobs.
Hey, one year out and loving my job already is a start for me! Only going up from here, I hope !
40k is a good income for a grad enjoy your work and you get paid to have fun. Thats what I do i never dread going to work and i feel like i get paid to have fun and help people.
