"VZW Tones" & "VZW Song ID" just got added to my homescreen.

Anyone else notice this?

I have a storm as well on the VZW network and it works great on my phone. There is one additional step I had to take for it to work properly, allowing permissions for all, and it does a good job.

Hmm, I thought they showed up from downloading My Verizon.

I think that's kind of shady....even if they are just web launchers they shouldn't put them on our home screens.....

Yea, I got them too....

As Blaise said, they're just launchers to download the actual program, so they really don't take up room on your Storm.

Anybody know if SongID is a pay application?

vztones is free so long as u dont purchase ne ringtones, ringbacks, etc (it's basically shop, u look around, u can preview the tones, purchase if u like or not)

I got Song ID, but thats cause I downloaded it yesterday. Rebooted like 5 times and still no VZW Tones.

These are not the actual apps. They are pushed BrowserInstall service books. If you click them, they will trigger the actual install of the app. They are similar to the other ones for the chat programs and Flicker, etc.
