ok so i had the same problem with my storm as many of you have with the voicemail icon being on your phone without a voicemail. well i found what it might be!! you can call vz to agree! goto options on your handset,advance options,applications,visual voicemail,delete it, reboot,got to app center reinstall(if u still want to use vvm),re boot again and sign into vvm to get it back running. (((one more thing check the box for vvm to do the changes it needs to make upon downloading. save them and continue downloading.))))
hope this works for you guys let me know. resolved my voice mail icon issue in a matter of minutes.
