I just called Verizon Global Support at 18007118300... and I told him that I am going on a business trip to Europe next week and I need my Storm unlocked because I do not use Vodaphone when I travel internationally. He told me that is fine and he had to email me the terms and conditions of unlocking a phone. Then he gave me the instructions of unlocking it right over the phone!! I am so surprised at how easy this was! I just put my AT&T Sim card in and BOOM! It's unlocked! FINALLY! It only took 12 hours lol!

I am going to try it right now....I am having the blackberry data plan put on my at&t account now. I also got my other storm on my account unlocked as well! The code is different for each phone.

OK Guys I have AT&T Voice service with EDGE data....no 3G...I will mess with the settings a little but I am able to use all data services so far.

Ive called multiple times today and they say they can not. One lady even sent me the email as they did when they did it for my 8830, but no go. We called RIM together, they said they dont have the codes yet. So do you have the name of the person you talked to?

I had to call twice. The first lady I spoke to said they wouldnt have the codes in 2 to 3 weeks because it just launched. So funny how these reps dont know how to do their job lol.

I used a razor blade and stuck it into the sim and pushed it out of the opening slot.

once you unock it...it works with ALL carriers sims...tried t mobile as well.

Sweet, glad to see it works on more then one carrier! Good news for the other BB owners with other carriers that want a storm.
