I ordered a 9530 with a new 2-yr contract (existing Verizon customer w/ expired contract). I thought the Storm was going to be $249 with a $50 mail-in rebate, for a total of $199. However, when I logged in on 11/21 to make the purchase, the pricing was listed at $199 with a $50 rebate. I placed the order, it went through, and I recieved a FedEx tracking number today for delivery tomorrow. The charge on my card reflects the $149 + tax.

Is anyone aware if there is an additional discount for returning customers? I was expecting to pay $199 total.

    Thanks for any insight,
    DC

Sounds like you got a New Every Two discount (new phone every 2 years). You should be eligible for that discount after 20 months of a 24 month contract. Last I heard you get a $50 discount if your price plan (voice plan only, not counting extra features) is $34.99 - $79.98. If your plan is $79.99 or higher you get $100 discount. Secondary lines on a family share don't qualify for this because their voice rate plan is only $10 for each line.

I got mine too for $149+tax. After the MIR and the Blackberry Trade Up program I will be paying $30+tax+accessories for the Storm. No way to pass that one up.

That makes sense, as my plan falls into the lower priece tier. I was hoping that I had somehow pulled a fast one on the 'ol VZ...

    Thanks,
