It seems like my emails are coming in much slower than when I didn't have the imap setup on VZW BIS website.

Does anyone know if you manually enter imap.gmail.com into the BIS if it disables push?

No, it doesn't disable push.

I have IMAP for both my gmail accounts and my phone will get the emails on occasion before I see a new email in Gmail.

Works great for me!
