unit sort of locked up, not accepting inputs

my blackberry will not accept any inputs. when it times out and goes black pressing any button will not activate it. if i get a phone call, text or message i can not access them. if i plug the blackberry in (charge it) the screen activates the screen highlights to my touch but pressing any button or the screen does nothing. I can update the os (or downgrade) it but when i have to accept the software agreement i can hightlight the ok but the click of the main screen does nothing at all, nor any of the other buttons either. when my alarm was going off i could neither dismiss it or snooze it. i can communicate with it via the computer and usb cable. Now since i have switch to all the available os i cannot agree to the software agreement so the radio is no longer activated and i am stuck with that popup on my main screen. I have taken out the battery for hours and still the same. anyone ever have this problem or any fixes???

Hi, I`m facing the same problem...didn`t found out any solution to this.

I just got this fixed.
The problem was with the mid-plate circuits, I have changed the mid plate and now everything is fine.
So if you have problems with the hard keys, and touch click not working, changing the midplate flex circuits will solve the problems.

Bold 9650. On the evening of 25th experienced same issue as you've stated. Phone is on, but won't accept input from the keys. Sometimes the trackball will work but am unable to select anything. Called support the 27th, they overnighted me another phone. Got it activated the 28th; by the evening of the 29th this phone is experiencing the exact same issue. I didn't mis-treat the phones, no water damage. I can't get another phone because the phone I shipped back hasn't arrived and been processed yet...

Any help appreciated.

Hi, Issues like this basically occur due to software corruptions, although we cannot rule out hardware corruptions (mid-plate, connectors, moisture) As directed earlier

this is the first step to perform, if even this does not work then this sure is an issue with the hardware and it's better if it's covered by under warranty repair or exchange.
