Howdy.
I hate my first post to have such seemingly simple questions, but I"m new to BB and very frustrated.

1. I want to turn off all email notifications - for BES and GMAIL services.
I want to keep my phone and SMS notifications active.

I created a new profile and called it "phone and text only"
here are the settings:

Messages > Email [desktop]
Ringtone BBpro... ; /volume: Silent / LED:Off / Vibration: Off / Notify me during calls: No

Messages > Email [Gmail]
Ringtone: BBpro... / Volume: Silent / LED: Off / Vibration: Off / Notify me during calls: No

Messages > Level 1 Same as above

I have this profile selected from the little speaker icon in the top left of the home screen. Every time I get an email the stupid phone Dings

is there a way to simply turn off the backlight without enabling the phone lock? we have a password enforced, and I don't want it to take effect until the 5 min timeout expires.
