I had mine set to 500, 1000, 6. Didn't realize until now why it took forever for cursor mode to appear. 100, 100, 6 is the only way to go. It is soooooo much better to edit when typing now.
So can anobody provide an actual description of how the tap interval and hover period affect your phone?

Tap Interval: Amount of time you allow between each tap in order to register as a "double tap". ie zooming on a web page, etc. The lower the number, the faster the double tap needs to be in order to register as such.
Hover Period: Amount of time needed to "hover" on the screen in order to register a change. ie - pressing and holding finger on a message in order to activate search filter from sender OR pressing and holding (hovering) finger on a text box in order to activate text editing mode. The lower the number the shorter the amount of time needed to hover your finger to activate these features.
Tap that @&& at 100, Hover over that @&& at 100, and Swipe that @&& 6 times; works for me and as a good a place as any to start. Pardon my french; my keyboard has a virus! LOL!
