I travel a lot for work, and have noticed when I change my time to the appropriate time zone, it also changes the times of my set appts..say I had a 9am..and if I change to pacific time, it changes my appt. to 8am..
Make sure when you enter the appointment, you select the right time zone for where the appointment will occur. Then when you change to the new time zone the appointments will be correct.

I've found that if you just change the time and not the time zone the appointments wont change.
Put your appointments on your calendar in the correct time zone to begin with and they'll be right when you change time zones. A complete explanation with examples is found in the Time Zone Issues thread that's linked in my sig.
