Hi all,
Just joined and am fairly new to BlackBerry. Had a Curve a while back and now have a Storm.

Curious,... does anyone know of a cure for the things I hate about the Storm.

#1: The keyboard auto pop up is maddening. Most of the time I don't even know what I did to make it show up. Is there a way to add "hide Keyboard" to the keyboard so I can easily hide it?

#2: The OS is almost intolerably slow.

#3: The Verizon Wireless Network is incredibly slow or is it the BB OS (well ok, maybe Verizon not the Storm)?

#4: Using the Internet is a miserable experience. Loading, requesting, running, loading, requesting, running and on and on and on, constantly need to hit the refresh and then it starts again. A vicious cycle.

Any hints, tips or tricks would be most appreciated.

1. swipe ur finger from the top of the keyboard down to hide keyboard

2. upgrade to a leaked os

3. see #2

4. see #2 and get opera mini

Swipe down the middle of the keyboard (from top to bottom) to hide it.

os upgrade helps alot too with the browser speed

Upgrade to the 4.7.0.141/Hybrid OS. My phone is quick and the internet is fast too. I bet you're still on .75. This OS is by far the best out at the moment in my opinion!

Trust me, the leaked OS is the best thing you can do to your phone. I'm kicking myself for not doing it earlier. I was a bit nervous at first, but the whole process is actually quite painless, and your phone will feel like a new device.

agreed. just go to one of the cb tutorials. i tolerated .75 for two whole months!!!!!!!!!!!! just coz i didn't have time to do the research. now my storm is running .122 the official bell version...

i was really scared but i survived! good luck to you.
