I noticed a new icon or graphic on my Storm the other day. It is on my in call screen. It is located on the right, just under the volume indicator. It is a rounded rectangle that has 5 " + " signs starting in the lower left in a row to the upper right. It does not appear to be something I can highlight and / or click...
Any ideas?

Sounds like the Enhanced Call Audio symbol. i listed the steps to turn it on/off in the above thread. Not sure if it's the same for my 8330 and your Storm. Give it a try.

Try this:

Phone
Menu
Options
General Options
Enhanced Call Audio: Normal-Boost Bass-Boost Treble.

Does the Storm have that?

If so, that's Enhanced Call Audio. Change it to Normal and it will not be there when you're on a call.

It should also disappear when speaker phone is on.

Easy... you never set it/turned the feature on .

If you have Enhanced Call Audio set to NORMAL that icon will not show.

If you have Enhanced Call Audio set to Boost Bass or Boost Treble that icon will show.

Check the settings on both devices.
