I searched (although not that hard) is there a way to increase the size of the allotted amount for text messages? I tend to have to send multiple texts in oder to get my point across...
In short, BlackBerrys (or Blackberries) do not use Enhanced Message Service which is what some other phones use to split long messages into multiple SMS messages and send as if it were one SMS. We all wish they did, but at the moment, they don't.
Some people have reported that their Storm has done this, but no one has been able to reproduce it consistently.
If the other party you are texting can recieve mms messages you can type a really long message as an mms and it will send messages like 1000 characters or something. Try that good luck..

That's what I always do.
Just make sure MMS (picture / video) messages are covered by their messaging plan, because even though you don't put a picture in the message it still is an MMS message and on most if not all carriers they cost more than texts.
my storm does send multiple txts as 1 long one sms..i thought this was standard, but it only does it to other verizon customers....if i send to different carrier...tmo, sprint, at&t, it says that it cant do it.
