My text alert dosnt always sound. It always shows I have a message when I do and always flashes the red LED but about every third or forth text it will not make any noise. Is this a broken phone or a hickup that can be fixed.

i have that to, and i just got another storm about 2 days ago because i dropped the last one in snow and it was never the same and this one has the message problem also... anyone no a fix for this...

Im experiencing the same problem. Maybe downloading the new OS will help?

new software doesnt really help. have the same problem. when its on ring ONLY. if its kept on vib it works all the time, just when you put it on ring it doesnt seem to work everytime

I have the same problem... it's intermittent, and so damn annoying! except mine vibrates every time... when in any sound profile. Mine also does this for all messages (e-mails and all), not just texts. I hope the next update fixes this!

I'm also have the same issue...we need a fix. I'm new to BB and I wonder why they put out a product that doesn't operate 100% correct.

Had four storms all four had this problem. I finally went back to my curve and I've been happy ever since.

Uploading .113 Operating system helps a little bit i think........my alerts are a bit more consistent than they used to be, but not 100% yet
