1. Switched Mass Storage Mode to 'Yes'
2. Connected to BB via USB to view folders
3. Received a 523 Error
4. Pulled Battery
5. Media Card inserted message appeared upon reboot
6. Tried to interact with the BB
7. Went to Verizon Wireless logo screen and is unresponsive
8. Pulled battery and the same thing happened

I am using .83

Any advice?

Pull out your Memory Card and then pull out the battery. After it boots up put back the memory card in and you'll be fine. Happens to me sometimes too on .83

Downgrade to .75 or .76 to completely alleviate the problem.

Happened to me on .75, .83, and now on .85. The best way to resolve this issue is to call Verizon and have them add your media/sim cards info to your account. The dial *228 (option 2) and your all set.
