so i plugged in regular ear phones into my phone like i usually do, this time i cant talk normal i have to put it on speaker and cant listen to music without the ear buds.. i did a batt pull nothing....

I've had it were it was stuck in headphone mode as well, the only fix I found was to reinsert the headphones and take it out. Oddly a battery pull didn't fix it.
ok i fixed it what i did was get a Q-tip and put it in there cotton side up then i broke it in half and stuck the other side in it and it worked..weird but hey i got my phone back lol
THis has happened to me with other phones. Apparently some "trash" (probably shavings from plugging/unplugging) gets "appropriately stuck" in the jack and needs to be moved. If you have a can of compressed air, a burst of that may help also.
