So I am searching around and see that spectec has a micro sd wifi card, I guess for the storm users this would be the only way to get wifi if it was a feature you really want and need with our phones.
I guess into more reading the spectec card is a little bigger than a normal micro sd? I am unsure of this as the micro sd are made to go into a sd card adapter, so I would figure they would fit, anyone have one of these micro sd wifi cards?
the funniest thing is that since rodgers is coming out with a storm that has wifi means that the storm already has a wifi setup in it already, it is just not being used right now, so when rodgers showed up and has it avalible. That means that is can be unlocked somehow. How can we do it? Via 3rd party software?

i hope ur joking.
the storm 9500 and 9530 DO NOT have the wifi chipset built in and cannot be activated via software... ugh
u kno y they have differ model numbers? b/c they're different phones...

9500 is gsm only
9520 is gsm with NA 3g and wifi
9530 is cmda and gsm
Actually, the 9500 and 9530 are completely IDENTICAL inside and out. Software controls its radio capabilities.
The 9520 on the other hand is most likely completely different on the inside... probably the same chipset that's in the Bold in that perticular case instead of the Qualcomm one that's in the 9500/9530.

So if the 9500, 9520, 9530 are all different models with different guts in them. then why would they have not changed the problem with the screen click...
and yes i do understand about the different model numbers... and no i am not kiding, i am just trying to learn while not being iliterate about an awesome phone. maybe you might be joking...
I know all about those cards. But in order for them to work, there must be OS/Driver support in the device to use it. Right now, only WinMo devices have such support for these SD cards. Possibly even maybe Palm, but definitely not RIM... that's why you can't use them. This has all been covered before when people wanted to do it with previous RIM devices.
the att network only has 40% 3g coverage. vzw has 80% 3g coverage. they have had 3g since 2002.
yes it does depend on ur area. i can see the vzw tower, and i can see the att tower both out of my back window. i can hold my moms att crapola phone beside my vzw phone and go to a diff spot in the house and her signal will fade so much that she can't call or text out and my phone's signal stays strong. from what i see in gsm cell service, i think the signal is weaker, eather it isn't brodcast as strong or what but there is deff a night and day diff even in a house and the tower is visible with both services.
