Storm upgrade

I like my Storm 1. I use the email very heavily for business and the calender as well. My NE2 was in January but I've put off renewing because I've seen so many bad reviews of the Storm 2. I also like touch screen so I don't really want to use any BB with a keypad.

I don't need a new phone as much as my other phones. I have 5 lines and at least 3 of them are in need of new phones. That is why I'm being pressed into using my NE2.

The main improvement I would want for my phone is to be able to use more apps without using up memory, corners of touch screen are hard to use, and battery life not lasting all day. Would the Storm 2 be a total waste of my
NE2?

I have a Storm 1 and running with no problem. My NE2 came up last August but have been waiting out for some release date on the new Touch, but nothing more than rumors so far. Storms 1 and 2 are going away, so I would not get one. The Torch is all touch, but it does have a keyboard but you dont have to use it I dont think. If you can wait it out a while longer there may be some news on the new phones. BB has nothing out right now that I want.....

The Bold Touch is rumored to release in the July / August time frame if this phone interests you. If you want a full touchscreen phone, your only option from Verizon is to go Android. And I agree, using your NE2 on a Storm 2 does not make sense.

I agree, S2 is a great phone and is an upgrade from the S1 but the S2 is going away from VZW just like the S1 did. I would hold off and see what VZW has in store for us BB users, lately it seems they have gone more toward the Android market.

That's my next question. Does an android provide the main thing I use my phone for: email with attachments, google maps, Poynt, calender/organizer, Facebook, weather, Pandora, iHeart Radio, etc. and still provide good battery time?

I know I cant answer that because I have never used one....I have heard both good and bad.....if you look under the forums list on Crackberry, there is an Android forum so that would be a good place to look for an answer.....
