meh, sorry pics took a while to arrive...

These two were taken without the image stabilisation setting on the highest possible quality.

These two were taken with the image stabilisation setting on the highest possible quality, though it hasnt made much difference and isnt really much of a test as nothing is moving....

I have a video taken with the phone someplace too, just sorting that....

Love it Gib I havnt really used a BB previously for any extended period, (just the ones the coppers got here) so i cant really compare it to that... I can type faster on here than I can on a Nokia 95, and just a little slower than a physical keyboard on a HTC device.

Video of the storm playing... video!

http://spixie.redial.net/tammy/storm/Storm-1.avi

Now for the flames and obvious mistake i made.... anyway first time i have ever used this video camera, so apologies for the lack of crop on the video... transcoded down to 9meg from 140meg (also why its a little blurry....) yknow i think hd cameras just make more work... im more of a still image person :P

I'm unsure if anyone can play this but:

A quick (30s) video taken with the storm, this is the file strait from the storm.

Yup. Wouldn't use it for a trip abroad as a tourist camera but would use it for quick pics on the go.

Yeah, would never use it for taking thoes special photos, but for quick snaps then it is good enough.. I was quite impressed with the video capabilities though, it does focus when moving from near to far quite quickly.

One thing I have noticed now, a couple of times so far the menu button has dragged up the wrong menu, it seems to happen when going from e-mail inbox to composer.. seems to think it needs the inbox menu not the composers. closing the menu and opneing again solves this though... just a nice lil bug that will get worked out im sure

Wow thanks for pics and video, but Ive been looking at this forum non stop since UK launch and I need more, lol. Please post video of other apps, like internet phone etc, phone looks pretty snappy in media player, no see any real slowdown in that video and i know this is an area people were worried about storms playback capabilities. Even pics ion album loaded pretty quick

thanks for vid, but we need more vids lol

Hey guys, picked up my new Storm on Friday, so thought I'd join the party and post on here...

My current phone is a Nokia E90, but I really wanted something new to play with last month and couldn't wait for the Storm to come out, so I bought an iPhone on PAYG, which I love, although it has its quirks (What were Apple thinking about when they left out the Video camera and MMS!?).

Getting back to the main point of my post, as I mentioned earleir, I picked up my new Storm on Friday, so now have the opportunity to compare it back to back with my iPhone. I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with it over the weekend, but so far my experience has left me with mixed feelings. The Storm has additional features that should have been included on the iPhone, so I was really looking forward to getting it, but I'm a bit disappointed as I've found it to be quite slow at responding and a little fidgety to use. It just doesn't feel as slick as the iPhone. Also, when I take video, the camera freezes after a random time, anything from 40 seconds to 2 minutes so far, which is very annoying. I really want to like it, but so far I'm struggling. Has anyone else had problems with their Storm?

There are a lot of very nice features, such as Google maps and the fact that it syncs with iTunes. Also, the keypad is nice to use, although it takes a bit of getting used to, and Internet access on Vodafone seems to be pretty quick. I'll play around with a bit more over the next couple of days and let you know how I get on with it...
