Hey guys I was wondering how well does a 9500 run on AT&T? I have two lines, one of which is running an 8900 with the other running an 8310. I was thinking of getting an unlocked 9500 to replace the 8310 but wasn't sure how well the storm is running these days (what problems is it still having if any?) I figure the storm is about to get pretty cheap with the storm 2 coming out. Any comments or input you may have would be appreciated.

I am running a 9530 on AT&T right now. It was difficult to find an Os that my Storm actually liked. It was constantly dropping from EDGE to edge, and that wasn't good for my BBM or browsing habits. Other then that it has been working great on ATT. Pin me if you have anymore questions about it.

You will only be able to use the 2G. I have a friend that has there storm on AT&T.

not true i have a storm 9530 switched to att and i run on 3g and 2g..mostly 3g and am using ooak hybrid 7.95 used shrink-a-os to swap radio file to 5.0.0.140 and my storm works better than on verizon, voice clarity and data. just do what i did and if you have a question PM me oh and never go off my "freind said" talk to someone who has been there.

Never used a Hybrid on a storm. The friends phone I unlocked it and used the crackberry instructions.

Hi I saw that you said you have a STORM working with AT&T. I purchased a STORM and unlocked it to work on att's network. However, I cannot get the EDGE to lock in. It may go to EDGE for a while but when I open the browser, it reverts down to edge.

What configuration are you using? I've been trying just about everything and no luck. Any help is appreciated!

storm os best one is OOAK Hybrid 7.95 Then use SHRINK-A-OS to swap the radio file to 5.0.0.140

use 7.95b (9530) 7.95 with the 151 radio then either swap-a-radio or shrink-a-os to swap radio file to 5.0.0.140 and download the .exe its self installing

Use software Version 4.7.0.75 it works great on AT&T never goes to small edge always in the caps for me i'm on at&t i tryed all other software and no luck too

Screenshot of my storm running OOAK 7.95 with 5.0.0.140 radio file and Alienware desktop them. as u can see in top right good EDGE signal 40miles from any major city and i have 40.4mb memory on AT&T network.

I hate to jump in in the middle of this thread, but I believe vinny8028 is mistaken.

The 9530 will NOT use AT&T 3G because it doesn't support the proper frequency. Verizon opted to use the EU 3G GSM frequency since that's where their customers would be using their GSM radio, overseas.

Just the fact that your phone says EDGE and not 3G should've been your first hint.

I saw your screenshot. My STORM gets EDGE but goes away when i open an app that uses the data connection.

i.e.: if I open my browser, the EDGE turns into edge.... this is killing me! I would love to keep my STORM but cant get it to work properly on EDGE
