Storm sim card to another Blackberry?

My storm has been pretty crappy lately, and I'm thinking about getting a Curve or Bold for the summer. Can I just move the sim card over to a different phone and have it still work well? I read somewhere that the SIM card in the storm is the only verizon blackberry with a SIM.

As long as you are staying with Verizon, in the USA, you will not need the SIM card. As a matter of fact, you can remove your SIM card from the Storm and it will work on Verizon.

The purpose of the SIM card on VZW world phones is for international roaming on GSM carriers.

As DJM1947 stated, the SIM card is not necessary to connect to VZW's network.

You will be able to use any VZW branded phone, whether it is a world phone that has a SIM card or not, on VZW's network.

contacts can be copied to sim card, then to the device you have inserted into.
