I didn't have too much trouble with my storm, until I loaded .122 the official telus software.
Often when I get an instant message using blackberry messenger, my screen will completely time out, or black out. Nothing is on the screen, and I just have to wait a bit for it to come back, before I can read my message.
yeah, its the OS....there is an issue with the software that causes the phone to freeze if you try to respond to the message before the alert and the LED go off...basically you gotta let the phone process that there is a new message if its dormant, if its awake there should be no issue. that's what i experienced when i had .122 anyway...i'd say try .132 if you can load it on your device.
Great... figures. I got Telus to do it for me, since for one, I'm a mac and for two, I have no clue how to do it. Annoying. No way around that without changing the OS??
