I just got off the phone with Verizon to request a replacement phone due to dust and loose screen. The rep advised me that if you install a leaked software you void warranty. My question is do you think I need to put original software back on the phone before returning it or doesn't it matter??

Yep, just to be safe, do a wipe and downgrade to .75.

Always do a wipe of the phone before sending it back in.
