    Default Storm Replacement Ordered *READ*

    I just got off the phone with verizon...after convincing them my click problems (corners not clicking) was NOT a software issue, they finally agreed to send me a new storm. The tech told me i should receive the new storm by FRIDAY....or MONDAY at latest!


    I'm not complaining or anything but why do I get mine so soon yet i've seen people post here that they will have to wait till mid Dec for their replacements?

    I even got a order # to confirm.

    VZ has to have a stock of Storms for replacement of bad units. This is common for new product releases.

    When you looked at the stock yesterday, there were thousands of Storms in the warehouse, we even thought we might get some in yesterday, but a no-go.

    thats what i was thinking. reshipping refurbs already? highly doubt it. they told me they did NOT have phones set aside tho for replacements.. and that mine would arrive w the new ship dates aka dec 8th or 15th. for now, the cardstock in the back is beaaauttifull

    I had the same screen click problem. Customer service was no help...only said "take it into the store and have them replace it". So i did. And right away they said ok it needs replaced. This was Tuesday...Should have my replacement by Friday! Told me they have 80 some phones just put back for replacements in the warehouse.

    I called today and the rep told me the same thing that my replacement storm will be here on Friday

    Verizon has put aside a set amount of NEW units to replace the DOA phones. This is true and they have a different SKU then the new units BB9530T

    Yeah.....we know of this "solution". If you are ok with that. I am not. I feel that it should have ZERO problems out of the box that are hardware related.

    If such problems exist then the piece of equipment should be replaced. End of Story.


    I have a credit card piece in my phone now and its working much better, but as i said....not a SOLUTION and not acceptable in my book.

    No, it hasnt been answered. Some people were saying that they were told they will not receive replacement units till Mid to Late Dec. Some people were told they would receive sooner. MY QUESTION was WHY did I get told mine would arrive Friday when others have to wait till late Dec.

    That's why i'm going in to get mine replaced. The guys at my local corp store said they'd likely hold one aside for me even since it's a replacement and not a new order which would be first come first served.

    Yeah, because within 1 week they have taken apart, troubleshooted, wiped clean, reloaded new OS and reassembled faulty units for sale as refurb.

    If they were that quick there would have been no stock issues on release date.

    refurb? it's not even a week old, how could their be any refurbished storms?

    I tried the credit card but it was too thick i couldnt make the battery make contact. I tried some index card and post it now all corners click.

    Customer services was not helpful at all for me either. I had to argue with them about how a physical hardware clicking issue could not possibly even begin to be a software issue.

    There are no refurbs yet. First of all hasnt been out long enough to acru substancial amts of units to refurb yet. Second the entire checkpoint process reportedly takes weeks before the phones are released as "like new"

    Why keep a phone that doesnt work right? Why not just replace it?
