Storm power up problem

I have a Storm 9530 that when you plug it in only the red LED turns on, but nothing with the screen. Does anyone know what is wrong with it or what can I do?

I had this problem with the Storm when it was totally out of power. Are you trying to charge it using a usb cable to a computer? Because if you are, it won't work and you'll see the red led. Try using a wall charger. This is most likely the problem.

If you are using a wall charger, try removing the battery and putting it back in. Then if that doesn't work, connect it to a computer and see if it recognizes it. Reload the OS using desktop manager....there's a how-to on Crackberry somewhere.

Other possible reasons:
-Defective battery
-Water damage to Storm
-Defective Storm

actually thank you that seemed to work, I had it connected to the computer so thats why it didnt work I think

Glad to help. Yeah, once the battery gets drained all the way, you need that wall charger. I had the same panic situation 2 years ago, haha.
