Storm Network Name?

So, I am the PROUD new owner of the SFR BlackBerry Storm 9500 .

With the help of the posts (specifically, pltaylor's post and personal assistance), I was able to successfully upgrade the OS (from vodafone's website) and got everything working with my T-Mobile SIM!!! I have my yahoo mail configured, the browsers, everything is a GO! Well...I can't get Facebook to work, but I think that's a non-Storm issue as it wouldn't work on my BB Curve for the past month (out of nowhere) either. I digress...

I have an SFR (?) 9500 device and the only odd thing that is happening on it is, right above the date/time, instead of it saying "T-Mobile"...it says something like I!k, and I have no idea what that means? Does anyone else have this issue or does anyone else know how to fix it?

Kx414 I've never seen it either, but maybe its similar to the activation error issue I was having. Tell me this, when you go to the phone application to place a call does your mobile number show?

I have no idea? If I go into Options | Mobile Network, it shows T-Mobile there...but for some reason it doesn't translate to the Homescreen?

Yep, the mobile number appears in the Phone App. If your number is not showing up, you can actually modify it so it does appear. Select Options | Advanced Options | SIM Card; while in the SIM Card screen, click Menu and select Edit SIM Phone Number. My apologies if you already knew that...

If your mobile number shows on the phone app, I have no idea. I had to use the send, ##000000, Send from the home screen, then edit the mobile directory to my phone number in order to get my carrier to show up, which is ATT. But my mobile number was not showing correctly on the phone app when I did the change. Maybe it will help in this instance. Good Luck.
