Storm MMS service book issue

Hi all

I have spent the last 2 days searching various threads on many forums trying to find an answer to this...I also spent 2 hrs on the phone to vodafone customer help (chatting to a lovely chap in India who had absolutely no idea how to help me...).

I have a storm 9500 on vodafone AU. I have owned for around 18months now. It currently has the official 5.0.0.425 release on it.

To say the phone has always been a pain would be an understatement, but in the main I just put up with it and learned to live around its issues. Since upgrading to .425 I havent been able to send MMS messages correctly. The message sends from my device, but the recipient only receives the text and a small red cross where the picture should be. This is for all pics, regardless of size, and to any recipient on any network, including sending them to myself. Yesterday I needed to send an MMS.....and couldnt, and I really needed to....and it really pi$$ed me off, hence two hours on the phone with vodafone.

In the end I downgraded the OS to the last official 4.0.0. version....

hey presto, MMS works again....downside.....the phone is back to being the useless brick it was some time ago, no flick scrolling, incredibly slow browser etc etc.....going backwards from 5 made it virtually unuseable...

so I updrade back to .425 and now have the MMS problem again....

Does anyone know how to fix this.....or can suggest a hybrid the might cure the issue....

really desperate for some help here guys so it would be most appreciated.

Try another OS, maybe 484 and see if it works. Although those are pretty old OS's. If you are not concerned about hybrids or leaked Os, then you may want to try 1005 for the 9500
