are there any other browsers that work with the storm?
the default is ok but it seems very slow

browser>BB (button right of green phone)>options>browser configuration>click icon to the right of "Browser identification:" select Blackberry or Firefox or Internet Explorer

Huh? That only changes what identification string the browser sends to the web server. That certainly doesn't let you use Firefox or IE on the Storm.

OP: You can install Opera Mini, it's much faster to load and render pages, but it is not optimized for the touch screen yet, so it is a bit cumbersome to use. YMMV, you can always uninstall it if it doesn't work for you.

Any issues with the touch screen should be assumed to have been included with the phrase:

"... it is not optimized for the touch screen yet, so it is a bit cumbersome to use."

Anyone could easily understand this.
