Maybe yours is bugged or something but you should be able to do everything while plugged in.

I've had 10 different Palm products. I could KILL total battery power, plug in , charge and use phone while plugged in.

This STORM is a P.O.S! I'm em-bare-axx-ed for Blackberry.

10 days and counting.................was hoping for software patches to fix the speed, ease and now battery problem. I doubt a patch will solve this battery issue. It's unique.

It works with when plugged in, you just don't know how to use it it seems.

when the battery is really low and the radio turns off, thats when other phones is really dead. it just says on just in case you need to get contacts out or something.
its a really nice thing to have if you think about it.

Mine works great while plugged in.. what is the point at which the radio is turned off. when i let it drain all the way, it turned the radio off to save battery, but that is when i drained it pretty much all the way.... after that i have learned not to let it drain all the way..

no the only thing i will say is when the battery is in red... like DEAD... it starts running like a piece..

But when it is plugged in you can do everything... my phone is plugged in right now and i can do everything. When it is plugged in have you tried going back in and turning the radio on?? maybe urs just turns off for some reason....

I was on my phone until it died. Then I plugged it in and turned it back on and it worked. Try updating to .75

Def user error...all I do is plug it in and the radio signal turns back on and I'm good to go.
