Storm 9530 A2DP Bluetooth Streaming Problems
- Is there anyone out there who has had any luck streaming music from their Storm via Bluetooth Stereo?
I am on my 4th Storm for various issues. I have not been able to stream music properly to this day.
I am currently on .103 and have used .65,.75 and .90 with the same results on all 4 phones and all 4 operating systems. I have also formatted my mini SD card.
I can stream music but I have problems with the music breaking up or skipping. It almost sounds like a scratched CD. It does the same thing with Slacker, so it is not how the music is formatted.
I have tried it on and own Motorola S9's (New Black Ones), A Kenwood DNX8120 (Current Firmware) Sony HBH-DS970 , and a Sony Xplod Head Unit. All have had the same results.
Never had this issue with Curve 8330
Any Ideas?Last edited by crewzers; 02-14-09 at 11:38 AM.

- I've actually had the exact same problem as the OP. I have a set of Motorola S9's and after pairing them with two different storms I ended up sending the headset back to Motorola thinking they were faulty.
I hope its not the phone that is actually faulty.

The head unit pairs most of the time (no probe connecting to the phone). Sometimes it takes a couple attempts to connect bluetooth audio

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-15-09 07:46 PMLike 0 - I am having the same problem. I purchased the Motorola S9 to wear when I walk outside however it only works if I put the Storm at my neck (closer to the headset). It seems to work better indoors however it stills cuts out if I move my head. This same thing happens when I use the Motorola H805 headset indoors. I am in the process of trying the S9 with another device to see it it works OK. I should be able to have the Storm in my pocket or in a holster and listen to music while walking using the S9 without it cutting out. Any ideas?02-25-09 08:37 AMLike 0
- I have had zero issues with my Moto S9's, Moto T505, or Plantronics Voyager in terms of A2DP. It is crackly, popy, and scratchy sometimes when using a headset or handsfree for calling. Maybe it has to do with that crazy Qualcomm chips that integrates all the radios.02-25-09 10:01 AMLike 0
- I am also having the same problem. I have Jabra Bt8010 and thought at first it was the head set, but after reading this might be the phone. I have found that when it starts i just pause it and resart and works fine for the rest of song. Then when it goes to next track starts again. It is getting annoying having to do this for every song. any ideas let me know thx.03-05-09 12:54 AMLike 0
- I went through three different bluetooth stereo headsets: A Samsung model (Can't remember the model number; over the ear/behind the neck, from Best Buy), Motorola S9 HD, and Sony BR-DT22.
The Samsung had the best sound quality, but had lots of dropouts, even with the phone right next to the headset. I liked the sound so much that I took it back for another of the same, but it had terrible dropouts too -- several times a minute for a second or two each time.
Next I tried the Motorola S9 HD. They worked pretty well. The sound wasn't as good as the Samsung but not bad at all. They dropped out a little occasionally, but not bad. But I found the in-ear design uncomfortable so I took them back.
Finally I got the Sony. It almost never drops out, even from several feet away. I have two minor complaints about them: They seem very flimsy, but so far have stood up pretty well so are probably more solid than they feel. The other complaint is that they are a little weak on bass. In fact, when I first started listening the music sounded so treble and harsh that I was ready to take them back too. But I found if I boosted the bass on my phone it improved the sound a lot.
I have kept the Sony and am pretty happy with them.03-05-09 04:51 PMLike 0 - I have the Moto HT320 and it works great for Stereo and calls. I stream, music, media and Orb content without a problem05-06-09 08:09 PMLike 0
