I know this question is asked to death but i still dont understand all the techy replies.

Will an unlocked Storm 9500 work in Canada?

Will i get 3G/HSDPA level data speeds?

main thing i want to know is will i get EDGE and beyond speeds there using this phone? Already have ROgers SIM can switch to some other operator if needed.

    thanks

Yes your Storm will work fine in Canada. And no you will not acheive 3G speeds on gsm only EDGE on Rogers. If you use Bell or Telus you will get 3G on cdma. Im currently running an unlocked 9530 from Verizon on Rogers with no problems.

you should acheive 3G speeds on Bell or Telus as the Storm 1 models are 3G cdma devices. So I am guessing it would work fine. I believe the Storm is one of Bells current models. Not sure if its the 9530 or 9500. as far as HSPA the 9500 is 2100MHz which works only in Europe as its only 1900MHz in N America. So I would have to say no it won't run on the HSPA network but that doesn't mean it won't work on Bell just not HSPA.
