Could someone please post a picture of the back of their Storm? I think my speaker grille is not there. (As in not installed from factory, gone.)

From what I saw there is no grille on it. Hold it up to the light, if its shiny then I just couldnt see it on the picture, if not you dont have it. Or don't have what I have at least.

Put your fingernail on it. If it's metal and like a perforated mesh, then it's there. If it's fabric, it's missing... get it replaced.

OMG, this is priceless. Please don't misunderstand guys, I feel horrible for you having to run into this, but WTF RIM? What else did they forget to install on the phone prior to shipping.

BTW, both of you with speaker cover issues... where were your phones made?

BTW, you'll need to go into a store and ask for a manager and have them replace the device. It must be brought to their attention... insist on a quick and painless replacement. Don't take any flack, this is all on VZW and RIM for messing the launch up.

They normally are. Perhaps RIM employees have been playing too much hockey during the assembly times with the Storm. Hummm... Fall/Winter BB releases are bad... check.

I have a replacement coming via Fed Ex on Friday. Apparently Verizon set aside 800 of them for replacement of defective Storms.

Just gave VZW a call. They said 4 weeks for a replacement unit... forget that. I waited in the cold for a defect phone, now I have to wait 4 weeks for a replacement?!?!

Mine is canada.. and has the mesh screen too..

I hate it though! A couple hours in my pocket and it's full of lint!!! grrrrr
