I went to VZW store this AM. I was not elegible for a 2 year upgrade (bought a curve in May) and am not a VIP, but I have been with VZW for 7 years and have a corporate discount. They allowed me to purchase the Storm for the 1 year price and gave me the $50 instant rebate. I paid $229, which I think is a killer deal since I wasn't elegible and only paid $30 more than 2 year price. Now when Storm 2 comes out in a year, I'll be able to upgrade.

So what did you guys pay and did you get any great deals?

when you upgraded did you have to change your plan to nationwide email?

Not sure what i'm going to pay yet. Either get a plan or just get month to month and pay $499. best buy is doing the instant $50 rebate plus free blue tooth headset

It came to $200 out the door; $50 off with 2yr contract. But approx $50 tax.
Comes with $50 mail in rebate. So hence fiddy dollars.
I'm hatin Steve but hey didn't have to pay full retail.....

Paid $590. Two phones, two silicone cases, 1 oack of screen protectors, and Saturday delivery. Plus I will get 2 $50 rebates so total about $500.

I have been trying to call the sales rep that took my order last night but he has been busy. I spoke to someone else and they couldn't see if my order went through because the system is frozen but he said all orders that were taken last night have gone through this morning and will be here tomorrow.

my XV6800 failed for the second time in a Week. They offered a replacement device because of multiple failures. So a supervisor approved giving me a Storm. Saved me $199 that I would have spent today to order it.

No idea why I got the instant rebate from VZW. I'm not complainin', tho ;-)
BTW, I had the pre-holiday flier, but it didn't say anything about an instant rebate.
